Check the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here, a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things — those small joys that make a difference in our day-to-day.

We had a really nice and fun weekend, though this week has been a little trying with some unexpected construction around us. Needless to say, we’re counting down the days until the weekend to get our peace back, and just relax since things have been a little crazy.

With that said, I’m sharing 5 small, and possibly shallow things that are bringing me joy this week:

• painting my nails. This doesn’t happen often because I don’t have the patience to wait for them to dry, and also, because I can’t stand chipped nail polish, which inevitably happens shortly after I paint them. But whenever I do it, it makes me feel better and brings me joy. This begs the question… why can’t I bring myself to do it regularly?

• fresh flowers in every room! It was a big weekend for us as we celebrated our wedding anniversary, and naturally, our home is filled with flowers. That’s not that much different as I often have fresh flowers, but, on this special occasion, they bring even more joy.

• stumbling upon this stunning ring and remembering I have one similar to it. I just need to clean it up as it’s been stored away for years and start wearing it (I use this jewelry cleaning solution in case you’re wondering). I’ve been into rings lately, and they bring me joy.

• getting this dress in this stunning blue color (along with the striped one posted here). Is it silly to say that I feel like a goddess in it? The color is truly gorgeous! It’s currently available in sizes S-XL (runs true to size) and is on sale!

• fig season! We’ve surely indulged in them lately and are especially loving the Black Mission variety for the creaminess.
