5 things that bring me joy this week
You can check out the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here. It's a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things—those small joys that make a difference in our daily lives.
Happy Halloween! If you want to read a Halloween story, check this one as it kind of explains the reason I’m not a huge fan of this holiday…
In other news, I disappeared from the blog last week. Hurricane fatigue and other things caught up with me, and I needed to give myself a break. I have been meaning to take some time off but as it’s never really a great time for that, I’ve been putting it off, until last week that is… Though there was some guilt in the back of my mind, I tried to allow myself to enjoy it. It was nice.
Overall, things have been a little slow around here as our area is still recovering from the hurricanes, but here are 5 things that bring me joy this week:
cooler evenings and nights. After months and months, we’re finally able to open our doors and windows in the evenings, and it’s such a nice feeling. One that in true Florida fashion, won’t last long, if we’re to go by the forecast for the next week. Sigh...
joining the nap dress cult… Okay, not quite, but I made my first Hill House purchase — a dress, of course, but not the nap dress, and am eagerly waiting to receive it. I’m nervous about the sizing, so I’ll share it once I have it, but the thought of it brings me joy!
this little task planner. I’m someone who tends to keep my to-do/task list in my head, and sure thing, I forget about some of them. While lists are great, I like this little planner we recently found because it feels more organized, and all in one place, in case I need to check back. Plus, it has a water intake reminder, and I definitely need that one! All in all, this task planner brings me joy!
this gorgeous bracelet and matching earrings I received and can’t wait to wear over and over. Use code DBJMM10 for 10% off your order. It brings me joy to discover and support new brands through this little blog of mine!
a new show to distract us from the insanity. Yes, you know what I’m referring to. We’re trying to maintain our sanity and keep anxiety low, and this show has been helping this week. It’s good!
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
