5 things that bring me joy this week

from the weekend… the white markings on that green island are birds.

You can check out the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here. It's a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things—those small joys that make a difference in our daily lives.

Well, hello December… Given we barely finished our Thanksgiving leftovers, my mind does not compute that it’s already here.

I have been talking all about the holidays for the past month, but somehow, I’m still not there mentally. I’m giving it another week…

In case you missed it, November at a glance, the monthly recap post is up, if you fancy reading it — I hope you find it interesting.

As usual, on Wednesdays, I share a list of 5 random things that bring me joy each week. Here goes it for this one:

  • fresh eucalyptus in every room. The smell brings me joy every time I sense it!

  • finally finding the pair of brown flats I’ve been looking for! Silly me purchased a few brown bags, not realizing that I did not have any brown shoes to coordinate them with (I do like to match or coordinate my colors and/or my bags with my shoes). I just got these in (almost sold out in brown), and well, they bring me joy! Mission accomplished!

  • our warm bed. It has been cold for the last few days and shocking for our unused-to-cold-weather-bodies. Needless to say, getting into our warm bed at night feels extra good these days. Ah, the joy of jumping in there and slowly warming up under the sheets… It’s the little things…

  • soup season. For the same reason mentioned above. Plus, I genuinely love soups, so yes, they bring me joy! I see lots of soups on our menu for the next month, at least!

  • that cup of hot coffee in the morning. It just hits differently this time of the year…

What’s bringing YOU joy this week?

xo,

Em
