Things I bought that have been worth every penny

A sleeping lip mask I’ve added to my must-have list.

You’d think that this list is made of some expensive things, but most of them are very affordable, and yet, do an amazing job. Some of these items are more recent purchases, while others, we’ve had and used for years, proving their quality and worth over time. Keep reading to find household, personal care, and beauty items that have easily won me over and the reasons why. Let’s dive in…

This IPL permanent hair removal device. Truly life-changing for me and I recommend it with every fiber of my being (please check the description to confirm that this is suitable for your skin tone and hair color). Consistency in using this device — weekly, is the only way to obtain lasting and quicker results (I started noticing significant changes after three treatments). Using it is not painful per se, however, in more sensitive areas it can feel hot and “stinging/pinching”. If this is too much to handle, it can be adjusted to a lower setting. Overall, this device might qualify as one of the very best purchases I have ever made, and as I’m writing this, it’s on sale!!!

This Ninja Professional Blender (exact one). We’ve had and used it for a few years now, and I can’t be happier with it, especially given the price. We love hummus, and I make my own frequently using this blender. What’s left right after I empty the pitcher goes to salad dressing — it’s so good (and easy) that I haven’t bought any in years!

These Swedish Dish Cloths. I wish I had found these Swedish dishcloths sooner because they have been game-changing when it comes to cleaning and wiping messes. Paper towels became [almost] obsolete in our home after purchasing them. These cellulose and cotton cloths absorb a LOT of liquid and clean up easily (and are easy to clean). The best part about them is that they leave no residue or lint behind like when using a microfiber cleaning cloth can.

This exfoliating mitt. Affordable, yet so effective. I use it once a week, much sooner than the 20-recommended-minutes of “soaking” and the results are great every time. Money well spent right there!

This lip sleeping mask. There’s this paradox I have with living in humid Florida — my skin has been drier. I don’t quite understand how that’s possible but it’s been a constant and a head-to-toe occurrence. And that applies to my lips as well. Lip balms and chapstick don’t seem to cut it for me, so I decided to give this product a try. I generally stay away from dupes but heard too much about this sleeping lip mask and caved in. It does everything it promises so it has my stamp of approval if you want to try it yourself. You can also get it in a smaller set of 3 to keep at hand wherever you need it. If you want to try more, this lip mask has been suggested and piqued my interest with over 2K positive reviews to be tested next.

This repairing hair oil. Years later, this hair oil is still a favorite and a product that I have to have at any given time! It smooths my hair, and I swear it’s what’s been keeping split ends at bay. A little goes a long way, and for it being under $10, this product is seriously a steal! My hair is oily generally, however, this product does not weigh it down nor makes it greasy after applying. If your hair is on the dry side, or you’re using hot tools, I recommend applying it every day on your ends. For complete care, try the entire collection — all are favorites of mine!
