Holiday style
The holiday season is just around the corner — there will be parties and gatherings, and joy and cheer. And I emphasize the joy and cheer part because, especially these last few weeks, we’ve been living in the future, forgetting about the present. We’re letting what’s here now slip by. And what good does that do?
I urge you to allow yourself to enjoy this holiday season and surround yourself with the people you want around. Read that last sentence again.
Now on to our topic.
As I’ve said many times on the blog, I try to create fail-proof formulas for dressing for any occasion, so that when I’m in a pinch, don’t know what to wear, or feel whatever way, I’m ready. Below, I’m sharing several outfit ideas to get you ready in no time for whatever’s on your calendar this season. Here it goes.
My go-to formula for Thanksgiving style is a sweater dress (this one, too), a crochet sweater dress, or a shift dress — basically anything comfy and unrestrictive. If needed, complete the look with tights like these or these for a fun touch. Or try these fleece-lined ones or these thermal tights.
Shop all these here or below.
What to wear on Thanksgiving
As far as sparkly season, I’ve selected my favorite items from my go-to retailers to create easy, yet stylish looks for the season ahead.
What to wear this Holiday season
I love this dress — I find the silhouette irresistible, so needless to say I purchased it (it has pockets!). I sized up as from the model photos, it looked small in the chest and I was right. If you’re small-chested, I’d recommend your usual size. For a fancy look, add this faux-fur scarf!
This crepe twist-shoulder dress is oh-so-chic for party season!
These shoes were love at first sight — the bows are too adorable! They went straight to my wishlist, hoping to shop them this Black Friday.
The kitten-heel slingback version of the bow flats is just as beautiful and party-ready!
Speaking of bows, I love this satin bow bag — it’s giving chic vibes all around.
By no means do I say to cover head to toe in bows, but these earrings are made for the holidays! These aren’t bad either!
This sequin mini dress is the perfect holiday party piece! Wear it bare-legged with these platform sandals or with opaque tights and pumps.
This tweed fit and flare dress is adorable and a piece that will stand out!
I love the idea of wearing a mini dress with sparkly tights (here’s one with gold details to wear with these tights).
I also love matching sets and this top with the matching skirt would make dressing up for the season an easy task.
This velvet and tulle blouse would make another great holiday outfit paired with these relaxed sequin trousers.
Or, pair these relaxed sequin trousers with this bow cardigan.
This beaded bag is the perfect accessory for the holidays! And so is this beaded wristlet.
