5 things that bring me joy this week
You can check out the entire “5 things that bring me joy this week” weekly series here. It's a collection of seemingly insignificant things that remind us to appreciate the little things—those small joys that make a difference in our daily lives.
We’re getting closer! In case you need a little push, here are some ideas of things to do to get more festive.
I won’t give too much of an introduction, as this week has been a little “punchy”, but here’s to hoping it turns around… Until then, this is this week’s list of 5 things that bring me joy:
learning a new language. Yep, I decided to not wait until the new year to start something new. In case you don’t follow my Instagram stories, I mentioned a while ago that I used to speak a few different languages. I used to speak fluent French, a bit of Italian, and German, among others. Of course, the keyword here is used to… That aside, I decided to learn Spanish. Why Spanish? Because it’s a language we hear often enough around here and because I enjoy it. I do want to brush up on my French and re-learn Italian, which I think is a beautiful language. Goals for next year… Anyway, learning a new language is a source of joy, don’t you think?
rain and thunder. If you know me, you know I love the rain (but not the constant one, of course). We haven’t had any rain since the last hurricane and I’ve missed it. Today, we finally got some of it; the thunder and sound of rain brought me joy. Plus, we’ll take the cozy vibes anytime, as well!
this dress (it’s on sale)! I have it in teal, and while I was debating if I wanted it in black as well, I saw that it’s now available in red and it’s such a stunner! It’s really pulling at my heart’s strings. With the teal, I sized up as it’s tight in the chest, but overall, it runs true to size. If you’re small-chested, I recommend your normal size.
taking time for myself/self-care. I honestly don’t like to spend a lot of time in the shower and bathroom. This is the main reason I simplified my beauty routine as much as possible. So much so that many times, I skip conditioning my hair. Today, however, I pampered it, and it was really nice. I am a loyal fan and user of this deep hair conditioner I’ve used for years and years — it leaves my hair soft and shiny. I follow with this hair oil I use religiously after washing my hair — I swear it prevents split ends in my case (my hair is prone to this).
these earrings I got for Christmas. Forever a pearls lover because they truly bring me joy!
What’s bringing YOU joy this week?
